John’s journey in aviation began in 1985 when he took on a role as a tour pilot in the Grand Canyon. He later spent 15 years flying for three different corporations in the Coachella Valley area. In 1986, he started training pilots and has since accumulated over 20,000 flight hours. As our chief instructor, John is well-versed in teaching private, commercial, and instrument flying. He also leverages his vast simulator experience to keep pilots up-to-date and proficient. Flying, family, and his grandchildren are his greatest passions, and he is the expert we turn to for challenging questions.
Brian became a part of our team in 2021 and has had a lifelong infatuation with aviation. He and his father, both avid aviation enthusiasts, purchased a twin engine Aztec after Brian obtained his license. They later acquired a Mooney and bonded over their shared love for flying. Brian’s grandfather was a P51 pilot during World War II, and the family’s passion for aviation continues to this day. With two distinct passions, flying and music, Brian is not only an accomplished pilot but also a professional musician and audio engineer. He specializes in training private pilots, as well as providing instruction in commercial and instrument flying.
Jenni’s love for aviation has taken her on many exciting journeys. She has owned an aerobatic Great Lakes aircraft, as well as several seaplanes. She was the proprietor of Delta Seaplane Tours in the San Francisco Bay/Delta area, and continues to have a passion for aviation and seaplanes. As the head of our Discovery Flights, Pitch Hitter Program, and Rusty Pilot Course, Jenni works with John and Brian in conducting Flight Reviews and Private Pilot Training.
Mike, the newest addition to our team, graduated from the University of North Dakota’s School of Aerospace Science and relocated from Minnesota to the valley in April to pursue his passion for aviation. His lifelong love for flying drives his ambition to become an airline pilot. Currently, he is dedicated to training private and commercial pilots, offering flight reviews, and providing instrument training. In addition to his expertise, he also boasts the best hair in the office.
